MergeCiv is a strategic idle game that blends tile-merging puzzles with deep civilization-building mechanics. Start with a small settlement, merge tiles to harvest resources, recruit villagers, and build your way toward a thriving empire. Every decision you make shapes the growth and prosperity of your civilization.
Inspired by classic merge and idle games, MergeCiv layers on rich progression systems — from upgrading your resource production and unlocking underground stockpiles, to mastering arcane magic and ascending to entirely new dimensions of play. Whether you enjoy active strategy or prefer to let your civilization grow while you're away, MergeCiv adapts to your playstyle with robust offline earnings and automation upgrades.
MergeCiv is completely free to play with optional rewarded ads and supporter packs. Every feature can be earned through play. An optional Royal Shop sells bundles and boosts that speed things up, and the Founder's Pack supports development.
How to Play
1. Merge Tiles
Drag matching tiles together to combine them into higher-tier versions. Higher-tier tiles produce more resources per second. Your grid starts small but expands as you progress, giving you more room to merge and grow.
2. Harvest Resources
Your tiles automatically generate Food, Wood, Ore, and Gold over time. These resources fuel everything — spawning villagers, building structures, purchasing upgrades, and expanding your territory.
3. Build & Expand
Recruit villagers to boost resource production, build stockpiles to increase your storage limits, and construct libraries to generate Knowledge. Unlock underground layers for additional stockpiling space, and raise a Citadel to access advanced research and culture upgrades.
4. Prestige & Ascend
When your civilization reaches its peak, prestige to earn Culture Points and permanent empire upgrades. Ascend beyond prestige to unlock the Magic system, powerful Artifacts, and Rituals that reshape the very rules of the game. Each layer of progression multiplies your power for the next run.
