This page describes how to request deletion of your MergeCiv account and the data associated with it.

How to Request Account Deletion

To delete your MergeCiv account and all associated data:

Send an email to admin@mergeciv.io from the email address linked to your MergeCiv account (Google or Apple).
Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request
Include your in-game username (if known) to help us locate your account.
We will process your request within 30 days and email you to confirm the deletion is complete.

Data That Will Be Deleted

Your linked account identifier (Google or Apple OAuth ID)
Your cloud-saved game progress (resources, upgrades, artifacts, citadel state, all save data)
Your device identifiers used for cloud sync
Any in-app purchase records associated with your account
Your analytics identifier and event history

Data That May Be Retained

For legal, security, and fraud-prevention purposes, we may retain the following for a limited period:

Anonymized analytics data (aggregated, no personally identifiable information)
Transaction records required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years)
Records related to fraud detection and abuse prevention

Local Data on Your Device

Account deletion does not automatically remove the app or local save data from your device. To remove local data, uninstall the MergeCiv app from your device.
